I went through 3 doctors to get a doctor to give my 13 year old daughter the Gardisil shots. Now I find one that agrees that with my history and her new interested in boys that I am doing what is best interest of my child. Just got a call that my insurance will not pay for the shot they already gave her so inorder to get the second one in the series I have to come up with $320.00 and then another $160.00 for the 3rd one. This doesn't make sense to me cause if she had HPV they would pay for her treatments but not 3 shots that could save her life?? HPV related cancer has a calling out for my life and my daughter has gone through so much watching me suffer through treatments after treatments, chemo, radiation, etc all I want is for my girls to not have to worry about this demon but I'm not made out of money either and my company offers no insurance so my kids have CHIPS which is a program through blue cross for kids in moderate-low income households that can't get insurance otherwise. Anyone else gotten Blue Cross to pay for their shots as I'm willing to fight this battle if they pay for those insured by their companies.
