Human papillomavirus is a diverse group of DNA-based viruses that infect the skin and mucous membranes of humans. More than 100 different human papillomavirus (HPV) types have been characterized. Some HPV types cause benign skin warts, or papillomas, for which the virus family is named. HPVs associated with the development of such "common warts" are transmitted...

Hi All,
I need to vent! I've been exhibiting signs of low-risk hpv now for 1.5 years, and things seem to be getting worse, rather than improving. Initially, I only had a few here and there and immediately went on Aldara... which did *nothing.* I then started to receive liquid nitrogen treatments... which did *nothing.* Then came the TCA applications but, again, to no avail. On my own, I've tried every which way of applying ACV, have used tea tree oil, castor oil, take a laundry list of supplements, and have been through two bottles of papilex.
While *some* of my original break-out sites have been clear for months, new outbreaks continue to appear while those "originals" that remain have *maybe* gotten smaller. My physician wants to hold off on surgery, as she's assured me that surgery only really works when the virus no longer shows up on paps- i.e. when just the warts remain.
I have an appointment for this coming week and want to restrategize. It seems as if grouping treatments together- being on aldara at the same time getting TCA or liquid nitrogen and taking papilex- might be one way to go? Should I advocate for surgery? Are there any other prescriptions here I'm missing? Why is nothing working?!?!?!? I'd like to have a normal vagina again. Moreover, as it's been five years, I'd like to have sex again!
I just don't understand why I'm still plagued by this. I'm a health professional, work out constantly, eat a raw foods diet, I don't smoke, and I'm generally a contented, happy person... until now. Now I'm angry and mopey :-(

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
