My goodness....you poor thing! Doesn't your state have some kind of mediation program that helps you guys work out stuff to a reasonable compromise between both??? In my state, it is MANDATORY!! Sigh.....

I have been teaching my girls since they were born. I intend to home school them And my oldest will be 4 next week and is not supposed to be enrolled in school until next year. But I am still getting all of this negative questions that tc has asked. They are very common from people that really do not know what they are talking about. There are many places your children can interact with other children. Church, library, museums, parks, etc. you just have to get them out and maybe into another group. Kids that are home schooled can also play sport, and join the girl or boy scouts. But in all reality what do these children have to teach your children? I was at the Dr office with my girls the other day and a little boy about my youngest age walked right up to her and smacked her on her face. And then laughed about it. I was doubting my decision until then. I do not want my children exposed to the other children that are like this. By home schooling I can monitor their friends and teach them to make good choices when they get older. Once they are older I would not have to worry so much about who they are around. Another misinformation he has stated. There have been many studies of how children do when they enter into college and all of the studies have found that children that were home schooled did better then academically then children that went to a school. They focused on their work and got better grades. While non home schooled were to busy socializing. But it is true that if they are not allowed to have contact at all with their peers they do not know how to interact with them. So that is why it is important to get them involved in activities with other children. Another thing is that home schooled children are in general more well behaved then their peers.

have you tried bringing up the time you tried public school. another thing you could try is showing the benefits that homeschooling has had on your boys.

One problem is that he has been so uninvolved in their schooling, or anything else for that matter, that he has no idea what has been going on and frankly does not care. He just wants more money for himself and will get it any way he can. He knows I will do anything to make things right for my kids. So he's decided to push me to the wall.

maybe if you took them to a counselor and let you explain why homeschooling is the best the judge would take that into account when making a decision. I had to do that with my daughter not because of school but because she refuses to see her biological dad and the counselor agrees it would be hamful for her health. don't know if it would work but may be worth a try

severe dyslexia should put ur child in the no child left behind act. that mean if you child is in 12th grade and should really be in 8th grade your child will still pass school, and put him in a worse of place
