I tested poz almost 2 years ago and my partner of nearly 16 years is neg. Thank goodness there are lots of places, including this wonderful site, where I can get support, but there is little support for partners who are negative. We have contacted ASO's GMHC (NYC), you name it. Nobody seems to offer support to partners, family members, caregivers. Any suggestions where my partner can go to get the kind of support he needs? I took a class called HIV 101 at my local ASO a year or so ago and it really helped me get my arms around living with HIV. They promised to put together a class for the non-HIV infected people in our lives but it never happened. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
