Main Question: Is it worth the time to change yourself even when you think it is too late and won't make someone in the past happy or change anything in life?
Is it worth it to try to fix a problem when it seems fate has decided for it to happen? Will people just end up hurting themselves? Like in FMA, the elric bros try to resurrect their mother, but end up creating a homunculus. (

if you mean change yourself to fit in with a group of ppl or community? you shouldn't feel pressured to do that in any way.
unless you mean to change a bad habit, then the change is definitely worth the time. Some people may not appreciate it, but you'll see in time that it'll be worth the effort.
You should try to fix a problem if there is one. Even if it seems fated to happen, it's better to try and fix it. If this fated event does occur, at least you'll be satisfied with the fact that you know you did what you could to try and stop it. =)
Could you elaborate on what these questions are referring to? If you do, DS members can further help and answer your question.
If you want to improve on things, GO AHEAD! It's never too late.
For me, I wish I could have volunteered more and read more books when i was younger, but I didn't. However, it's never too late to volunteer, so i'm trying to find opportunities for myself, and i'm trying to read when i can.
Trust me, (if you can trust) it's NEVER too late. I can't really think of anything that's never too late to try at your age.
