I just recently was diagnosed with High Cholesterol and was perscribed Welchol. I would like to know what else I can do to lower my cholesterol and would love someone to explain what high cholesterol does and what it is as if i were a 3-year-old. I've been told I'm young to have such a high cholesterol and am a little worried cause I don't know anything about it. Are there ways I can test my cholesterol without having to go to the doctor for blood work? I have a very hard time with change and wonder how many of my favorite foods I'm going to have to give up. Reading the results of my bloodwork: Lipid Panel Cholesterol, Total is 243. - HDL Choleserol is 46. - LDL Cholesterol Calc is 177. Help please what does this all mean!!
