I am very frustrated because I try to do good things for my health. I bought that darn blood pressure machine to take my readings at home but it seems the more I take it, the higher my readings get because I stress out!!! I was first diagnosed with high bp when I was 33, when I was in the hospital having my kids. For a while I avoided seeing a doctor but I don't think this will always be the answer. I am so tired of reading about salt intake and how that affects bp. It really doesn't seem to make a difference in me. I don't eat a lot of processed foods and my sodium intake is usually 2000 or less. I exercise, try relaxation techniques. Arghh!! It just doesn't seem to go down. Currently on medication for high bp but I don't think it is really working. Is anyone else frustrated like me? I feel like I try so hard to do everything right, but bp measurement is very slippery. It goes up and down all day. Add stressing about bp to the pile and then you really have a mess! Anyone have advice about how to handle this?

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
