Yes many of us here have experienced this. With HS this is common I hate to say. There will be good days and bad days. You will learn to adjust your life to the breakouts and pain. I don't mean to scare you but this is the reality of our disease.

For pain relief on the groin area....aside from narcotic pain pills....I suggest take ibuprofen and find something moisturizing and soothing to apply topically. Like Aloe Vera gel or vaseline. If the pain is not from new boils but like open sores....like a stinging/friction like pain I recently discovered that preparation H is wonderful for pain. Or anything with lidocaine or something in it that numbs the skin. Some people have even mentioned orajel like for toothaches on here before I think.

Hi, welcome to our group. Sorry you have discovered this horrible disease. Yes, I have had it in my groin for 5 years now. Surgery has only been temporarily helpful, as well I am using silver sulfadiazine cream on my open wounds. It is very difficult to walk, have you tried Epsom Salts? Apply Hot compresses to them....Neosporin....that is the only thing that helps me. Good Luck to you..
