My bf was recently diagnosed with HS and are trying to get in to see a dermatologist and plastic surgeon. I have two concerns...the first, what specific questions do we ask the doctors? This is first time either of us have been through something like this and soo much is going through our heads right now, I don't want to forget to ask a certain question. I will be going with him to all the doctor appointment to make sure we understand and absorb all the information. My second concern is financial. He does have insurance but no short term disability through work so during the surgery and recovery, he will been on Family & Medical Leave Act, which only protects his job for 12 weeks without pay. I was wondering, how long the average recovery is? and if you can, let me know the approx. cost of all of this. We live in Cleveland, Ohio so I know things are different for each city and state. I appreciate any and all information and help I can get right now. I am having a really hard time with this, I am the logical thinker in the relationship, so I am always thinking about financial issues and time frames. Thanks Again Everyone!!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
