Recently I went to a doctor for a painful swollen lump under my armpit and right now it is about 1 1/4 inch is size. The doctor told me it was a infected sweat gland and referred me to a surgeon because I had if for about 2 months. When I went to the surgeon he told me I have HS and didn't want to do anything unless it gets worse. Over the past few days its getting a little more red purpleish and just a slightly more swollen but it is mostly flat in appearance. I believe that my HS is from long term anabolic steroid use. I stoped using steroids recently when I was diagnosed with HS. Seeing that this is a possible androgen related disease I am afraid that it will only continue to get worse as the Anobolic Steroids take time to clear from my system. Even after the discontinuation of steroids I will experience large fluctuation hormonal conditions which will likely only add to the problem. The questions is what will happen if I try and drain the soft lump with a syringe. Does this make it worse? With love, Jay

BUT.... I feel like my visits are not what they use to be. He...

My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
