So I have had HS for at least 10 years that I can recall. I am now 26. I wanted to quickly share something that has been working to help my HS. I have been on every pill known to man and used every different cream or soap made. I have now found a regimen that seems to be really improving the situation. My dr put me on LoSeasonique birth control to help with the monthly cycle of flare ups which is very helpful. I also use antibacterial bar soap and an AXE body tool scrubber and scrub the areas everyday to keep them exfoliated. After I finish my shower I then take a bleach bath. YES a bleach bath. My dermatologist recently went to a conference for HS and that was one of the general suggestions that other derms had found helpful. I fill the tub about 1/3 of the way full of comfortably hot water, and a cup of bleach. I soak about 8 min on my back and then flip over and 8 min on my front so I can make sure that all areas are submerged for an extended period. The bleach bath does not dry my skin out at all. I also have had open sores and the bath did not hurt that either. So no fear. I am also on minocycline now. I haven't taken it before, and if I did it was a long time ago. After the bath I apply retin-a cream to the areas. This has really changed how the areas feel, they are not nearly as dry or leathery feeling. The skin is much softer and smoother. Let me know if you want to know more about what I do or where to get certain products. I know that this disease sucks and if this works for me I hope to god it works for you!

I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
So my daughter, who will be 30 in a few months, says she thinks she has varicose veins, as she can't figure out what else it could be. Only in one leg, and is so bad it is hard to sleep at night. She is in excellent shape, really exercises a lot, and eats well... not at all overweight. Anyone else have any issues with this? I did find that it can go with PKD. She was reading that there are...
