Hernia Support Group
There are several kinds of hernias, but the all happen when pressure pushes an organ (often the intestine) through a weak spot in a muscle face or wall. Treatment for hernias can be no treatment, to medicines to surgery. Modern surgical methods to treat hernias are much improved over older techniques and recovery times are much shorter.

Hi
I was just wondering if people could share their syptoms with me, I have only recently been diagnosed with Hiatus hernia, I have sufferd with stomach problems for 6 years though.
Whatever researh i have done alsways talks about heartburn etc which altough is a problem for me is not the main problem
*I feel neaseous most of the time
*I feel like I have been punched in the stomach or like im carrying a big rock around in my stomach (hard to explain)
*Also have weird taste in my mouth,
*I also find it hard to get mr breath a lot
.
Just wondered what other people symptoms were other than heartburn, and any ideas on how to help them
Would really appriciate some feedback
(im 25 years old)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have the same issues. I'm always feeling sick, bloated and out of breath. My chest always feels tight too. I'm on Carafate and Nexium.
I've been to a chiropractor and that helped me but I couldn't afford it anymore.
I have been through it all ulcers, acid reflux, Hiatus Hernia. I had the wrap surgery in "98" and had 2 ulcers at different times. I used to wake up choking feeling like I was trying to swallow a golf ball, it was terrible.
Well, now it is back, I have being losing my voice for a year now, and he told me it was the acid, My ENT told me that also. I had another scope, no ulcers or cancer Thank God, then I had the ph study and just found out on the 16th of this month that I have alot of acid in my esophagus again, He said I had to have another surgery. I have 3 different ones that I can chose from, it is in my journal if anyone would like to read them.
I will be praying for you and the rest, because, I know what u r going through.
This is my second round with this.
Hugs
