There are several kinds of hernias, but the all happen when pressure pushes an organ (often the intestine) through a weak spot in a muscle face or wall. Treatment for hernias can be no treatment, to medicines to surgery. Modern surgical methods to treat hernias are much improved over older techniques and recovery times are much shorter.

Hm, I'm not sure -- hiatal hernias usually cause problems with the upper digestive tract, not the lower. So symptoms like heartburn and chest pain are more common. It shouldn't cause fatigue unless perhaps your symptoms were making it difficult to eat a healthy diet. I'd keep working with your doctor to get a diagnosis, since my guess is that something else is going on -- good luck, I hope you find an answer soon!

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
