Hello Everyone! Thank you all for such great information! I have posted my story before and just want to see if anyone out there has had the treatment (my girlfriend and I call it the 'cure' for future reference, staying positive) for HEP C and is under the age of 30. I heard the younger you are the less effects are possible. My girlfriend has HEP C and I don't, although I will get tested again just in case and have been vaccinated when I was 12 for the others. She just turned 24 and will start the 'cure' early december. I am just hoping for some good news that the sides will not be that bad....wishful thinking? Thanks again to everyone!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

As for the sides, it's really hard to say for sure but I would say that a younger person should be in a better health - as in no issues like arthritis or "older person" health issues - and so any sides would not seem as severe.
Just think of some young girl having the flu or feeling under the weather and then think of her grandmother having the flu or feeling under the weather. The young are tougher, and bounce back better.
Tell her good luck on tx.
My hubby has been cleared for over 5 years now, and I have been cleared since over 3, so there is hope with these meds.
My hubby was 37, and I was 44.
The best of luck to her on her journey.
