Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
That would be like the icing on the cake.
I know others on here that have lost and gained weight. Maybe they will share their experiences.

I lost approx 15 lbs and feel pretty crappy most of the time, but I certainly didnt go on tx to lose weight!!! I went on tx to save my liver from being detroyed by the virus. Best wishes wit your decision
You have only one liver.
I don't think there is a single person who has not been fearful before doing tx. Not a one.
Sure you can change your mind and put off doing tx, but before you do that, you may want to do some research to find out all the work that your liver does for your body.
Whoa, we are in a heap of shit if our liver craps out.
So you want to know about weight loss?
I gained about 30+ lbs on tx. Some people lose horrible amounts but they are also sick on tx or they just did not eat well.
I had no real issues on tx; all the sides I had were more annoying than anything. I cleared the virus while on tx and for that, my liver had a chance to rest and heal. I relapsed after but I certainly feel alot better than before I did tx.
One good reason to go through tx?
To help your liver so that you can live a healthier life.
It seemed clear to me that I would NOT clear the virus w/o tx---but I MIGHT clear it WITH tx....
Everyone is different, and no one is really equipped to make your decision but YOU.
Whatever you decide, you're gonna keep getting loved here at DS! Let us know what you do and how it turns out!

it doesnt happen to everyone.
i've maintained my weight and even though im not hungry most of the time, i sorta force myself to eat. almost binge eat till i pass out sometimes. and im still a constant weight.
My reasons for treating (and I'm now attempting for the for the second time ... 72 weeks this time ... insanity? Maybe... who knows) I have a stage 3, grade 3/4 liver and quite frankly, I'm just not ready to go through all the problems that come with stage 4.
