Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
The average age thingy, if accurate, is scary for me, too, hun. I'm 57!
Combined with my sh**y feeling last summer(I felt like I was dying, at least at that time. I don't feel like that now. I can't explain exactly how other than to say I felt like a vampire had sucked out all my life force.) and death dreams, it really scares the living bejeesus out of me.
