Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I just took over a discussion board over at Oprah. The person set up the board, spelled Hepatitis wrong and then left it. I was able to take the board, and I'm still waiting to see the name fixed. They allowed me to write under the creator's name, "Tayyah2."
As far as I know, it's the only hep board over there. Is that the one??
If it is, then tell everyone - EVERYONE - that has hep C or knows someone who has it to start posting questions, concerns, making statements, etc.!!
I was invited to the Oprah Show when Michael Moore was on (Universal Health Care), and I've been invited by the staff to go there again the end of November (this is a rarity, trust me).
That's when it occurred to me that the best way to get hep C on Oprah is to show their staff how many people are discussing it. I went over there, and there was nothing on it except this board.
I figured if they are asking me to return, knowing who I am, then maybe it's only a matter of time?...
Yes, I saw your post!! How cool. Great minds thinking alike!
If we can get regular conversation going on over there, they'll notice it. We should get the word out!!! Tell everyone to post at least once a week with a question, concern, or story of how they got infected!
Just a thought....
