Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
My 23 year old step-daughter who is bi-polar is also an alcoholic and a drug addict. I never had children of my own as I had Leukemia when I was in my 20's. My step kids are the kid that I never had. It hurts me as much as it hurts my husband to watch his daughter go through this.
The best that you can do for them is just love them without enabling them.

I guess I got lucky and blessed because I don't care much for booze and only occassionally have a glass of wine or beer.
But now with HCV, I don't even drink that much.
