What really sucks is that I rarely drank before I was ever diagnoised with hep c. But now that I have hep C I obviously dont drink at all because of the treatment I'm on. I keep hearing that I shouldnt drink after the treatment either. This freaking sucks I'm 22 dammit. I mean I barely drank before and now I'm being told I probably shouldn't drink later on either??? It sucks when all your friends are in the bar having fun and doing shots. I'm a strong person and I always have a bottle of water because I know its for a good reason but when I'm off treatment how would having a couple drinks hurt my liver if (hopefully) I'm HCV negative? I don't have any damage to my liver.
