Hey all. So yesterday my primary Dr. not Gastero DR. called me early and told me I should come in. She told me that my White Blood Cell count (WBC) is at 113. 500 is critically low. She also is concerned because one of my lymphnodes is swelling. It hurts so terrible the pain killers they have given me for the interferon doesn't take the pain away.
She told me that the only way to know if I have cancer is to take the lymphnode out which is dangerous because that low of platlettes and WBC I could bleed out...
Have you had this trouble with your lymphnodes and how low are some of your WBC?
Thanks!

I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
Now having low WBC is normal on these meds, this is due to the ribavirin, the pills your taking, also having swollen lymph nodes is one of the side effects on these combo meds.
Like not everyone get swollen L.Nodes on tx, but not everyone.
Like I wouldn't stress over it, until you speak with your gi.
Now Monday, get on the phone and give him a call, and please keep us posted.
Now try to relax, it would surprise me big time if it was cancer, like I said, it's normal on these combo meds to have swollen lymph nodes.
ok hun, now Enjoy the balance of your weekend.
Love & Respect,
Mckenzie
