Well I started out on my journey of treatment on the 23rd of January with a VL of 31,100,000 and after 3 shots of interferon ( Blood test on Thursday , I give myself the shot on Friday) and almost 4 weeks of Ribavarin my VL is now 320. My ALT 33 , AST 28 , TSH 1.36 , WBC 4.2 , RBC 3.49 , HGB 11.6 , HCT ratio 32.5.... It seems the no drinking and the treatment seems to be working for me. I have lost some weight but , I am eating much healthier and of course not swilling 2 six packs of beer a day as I used to actually . I am thinking of doing a milkshake of some sort to give me some high calorie content to help keep my weight up. I eat 4 meals a day , all of which are healthy and the doctor said do what you have to do to keep from losing too much weight. I do not get a full blood work up until my 11th shot next , six shots from now...... I am glad it seems to be working as it is a pain in the you know what with the sides and me becoming pretty much a hermit as I can not function at times very well at all.
