Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
Even if you are told to stop tx, you need to keep in mind that you did help your live a bit by helping in the fight against the virus.
Also, because you know you have the virus, you can continue to improve on living a liver friendly lifestyle until decisions are made for you to do tx again, if you decide to do tx again.
While you may be a slow or non responder, I am a relapser. I don't feel too bad because I don't have any liver damage, and I have cleaned up my life to be kinder to my liver, so I can wait for tx.
What about you? If you have no liver damage, or very little, you have time to wait for whatever new tx comes out. Ask your dr about it when you discuss your current tx status.
just curious where your headed with the pics. can't go back to much further without being in the womb.
I just did my 6th shot, so I am paying close attention to how things go for you. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
