So my daughter is to start tx this weekend. Well we are hoping that she will do well & be able to stay in school. As you all know, drinking lots & lots of water is one of the most recomended things to help prevent sides. At her scholl they are not allowed to carry drinks w/ them. However the school has been trying to be very accomadating & told us to have her Dr. fax a note saying that she needed to carry water w/ her & she would be allowed to. Well I call her GI and they won't do it! They won't fax a simple note to the school for us. They said that it's not like she needs to be guzzling water all the time! Then the nurse goes on questioning me about why we went to Pitt for a second opinion. Obviously they are upset about that. I don't see why though, they should understand that as a parent it is my responsibility to make sure I'm doing the right thing for my child. I am highly upset about this, we don't need a snotty attitude from the doc when we are going through this. We need their support. Anyway I called her regular Doc & she is going to fax one up for us. I AM REALLY PO'D!!!!!

Our sad situation is that he is a Chef and I'm a catering manager; we have worked together as a team for the last 20+ years, however, these types of places do not provide health insurance and...
