I was wondering if anyone knows how long it takes till symptoms start to show after the person has been infected? Does it start when the disease becomes chronic (which I've read takes about 6 months after the infection)? Or do they start when the liver is about to fail? I don't know...I know that it's impossible to tell when someone was infected but I have very strong suspicions about how I may have gotten it. And if I am right I should get tested for the HIV too...I got tested hep C positive about 3 months ago with a very high number of the hep c antibodies (26) which may be a sign of the recent infection(thats what i heard)and just now, within the last week started feeling the symptoms. Yesterday I freaked out because I I was eating the red sweet pepper and it started smelling and tasting like gasoline or some kind of chemical. My friend tried it and said it was fine when I almost puked. Besides that there are other symptoms just starting to show now too. Anyone has some kind of info or opinion on how to find out how recent the infection is? Thanks
