I have noticed from reading other people's stories that they have some pain in their right side & fatigue from Hep C. However, I am wondering if what I am experiencing is normal. I am almost always in pain these days on my right side (and fatigued) and it seems that the only time I'm not in pain is when I'm not on my feet doing something. When I get up and try to attempt anything, I hurt. Not only does my right side hurt all the time, the pain seems to go all the way through my lower digestive tract. I am not on any meds or treatment yet- I just take Milk thistle. The regular doctor I went to said he was going to give me something for pain but then never did. Every time I called to follow up, they just blew me off & told me that they have referred me to a specialist. I am supposed to see this specialist on Aug. 27th. I am wondering what some of you do for pain when it gets really bad? Will the doctors ever prescribe something for pain? I know they don't want to because it may damage the liver further but I cannot live my life in pain every day either. Any feedback on if my symptoms are normal &/or what I can do about it would be helpful.

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
