Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

Chat Room Etiquette (Da RulZ)
1. When you come on, please announce yourself and the city and/or state youre from. You dont have to give your real name, but give us something we can call you by that youre willing to acknowledge (Even if its a number!lol
2. The board runs on 30 minute increments, which means that after 30 minutes, you may be disconnected automatically. We do this to give opportunities for others to call in. If you are talking and actively participating, the moderator can and will extend your time on the board at his/her discretion.
3. If you are a professional (health care, pharmaceutical or other hep C organization), you are expected to respect the privacy of our tele community by announcing who you are, so people will have the choice of participating on the board. If you are found to be here lurking you will be disconnected without warning and blocked from the board. If you wish to participate, call 1.816.767.8472, so we can let others know of your presence. It's out of courtesy for the hep C community, and hope you understand.
4. If you are a professional, and would like to contribute to the board by hosting a talk on a topic relevant to the hep C community, wed love to have you!. Please contact Johanna at: 816.767.8472.
5. No arguing, please. Hep C is stressful enough. We want this to be a "safe" place.
6. When discussing treatment, doctors, or how you beat hep C, or did not clear the virus, please remember that people are on various stages of the journey; be respectful and kind, so as to encourage and support. Tearing down or attacking anyone (be they professional, family or patient) is not permitted.
7. We do not sell products or services on this board.
8. You are encouraged to not give out your telephone number or email address on the phone it takes up time and people are trying to talk about other things. In time ( a few weeks), we will be able to separate people from the board, where they can then share info privately.
In the meantime, if you want to talk further with someone, meet them at the Daily Strength discussion board.
9. We can talk about any thing here, but please, no blatant endorsement of any brand name products (e.g. (GOOD) I love vitamin C and I get mine from Walmart ; (BAD) You should take Natures Way Vitamin C, and I know the distributor.)
10. We are not medical professionals. If you have a question on care outside of the average questions, you will be referred to back to your doctor. theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Don't panic folks, it isn't that bad. The message has been stretched out, and it only LOOKS like the talk is run by Nazis! LOL
