Just heard this week about how the group had to post pone tour due to lingering side effects from finishing treatment. I wonder if more of these rock n roll icons have hcv and we just don't hear about it. Lynyrd Skynyrd sang about the dangers of the "needle" in the song "That Smell" so what about the surviviing members? Steven Tyler came forward about his battle with it but no details. I think anyone that ever shared needles pretty much got it that way and in the 70's and 80's this was a way of life. I wish they would use their celebrity power to post more awareness and tells us more in detail about their treatment and what they go thru. I think this needs to be on 60 minutes and people need to understand it is not easily transmitted, especially casual contact. I heard also about Nat King Cole going thru treatment and she was a drug user back in the day but that was it. But I did like her comment, "I have learned from my mistakes."
