Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.
I did however test positive for Rheumatoid Arthritis from tx. Will see RA doc in March.
Another friend of mine got both after tx.
I was told that my symptoms seem as if I may have both.
Fibromylgia is unfortunately a possible side-effect of tx as is RA.
If you have this my dear I'm so sorry and pray that you and your doctor can find a method of management to keep you pain-free.
Best of luck!
What pisses me off is that the CDC is appropriate enough damn funds so that they can do 'real' research into a tx that can help all w/HepC (especially the non-responders or relapsers)....although soon one is coming out.
We need one that will not cause another life-long illness in order to save our livers!
Enough of my soapbox - our very own Tatt man is going to me at a Nevada Legislator Session especially for HepC tomorrow....
Still trying to get time for tv and channel but the link to see it is www.nv.gov
See post thread 'Yes I need your help' - I'm so excited for him and Darla staying up for our cause!
Have a great weekend my friends!
