the reason I am asking is because the nurse asked me what day I wanted to start tx and said most people start on friday so they will feel a little better on Monday. when my son had cancer he was always a lot sicker the first two days after his chemo and feeling good just when it was time to start again.

TX affects everyone different. I had a terrible experience with it. My husband and daughter didn't get half the side effects is I did. It's a pretty tough thing to go through for anyone. Just don't do it alone deep in touch with the support of DS. I felt like I had noone at the time I did TX ( 6 yrs ago) I couldn't find a support group then. Best of luck to you. Peace NoniLv

My sides are changing as I go thru tx, I'm in my 4th month. At first, I threw up some, felt very tired ALL THE TIME, had headaches ALL THE TIME, and I had some skin issues. WATER is the best thing I found to reduce the sides. I don't throw up anymore, my headaches are now gone, but my skin issues are worse and I'm noticing lots of hair in the shower drain. I'm pretty sure it's different for everyone. Good luck hon...oxoxoxox

Hello and welcome to DS. If you read members profiles and journals, you will see that everyone is diffrent in how they react to the meds. You are more than welcome to check out my journal. I had good days and bad days. The way I look at it is if I didn't do the meds, my days were numbered. Hopefully I will be blessed and kill the virus. Best wishes to you!!

Everyone reacts differently to treatment. I'm on pegasys and co-pegasys and I really haven't had any side effects, except when I have a cold. It's very easy to catch a cold while on treatment, so try to get in to see the doc when it happends, or it will take you 2 weeks to get rid of it, like it did for me. It takes a few weeks for your body to adjust to tx. Try to see if you can take a few days off from work and see how the first week goes. Usually the first week is the worst, for most people. And, it doesn't hurt to do the injection either. I how I helped you! Hugs, Kristin~

Yes the day after I do my shot I feel like a train wreck. During the night I have bad flu like symptoms. That being said, usually the farther away from the shot I get the better I feel. But sometimes, I'll just feel sick again out of the blue(usu. at night). Probally due to the fact that's it's time released so it comes and goes.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
