Just wondering what type docs ya'll were seeing when diagnosed and during treatment. I went from gastro, who would not treat me because of side effects and low viral load to a hepatologist who seems to want me to do clinical trials. I am stage 3 and have had hep c for 32 yrs and now insurance company must pre-approve the interferon. Any vets out there that could advise on how to get treatment from VA? I am still in military but they are trying to kick me out due to illness. I think I can handle treatment. Might be foolin myself but have to try. Spoke with insurance co tday and more confused than ever. Starting to get bummed out and depressed. Thanks for the opportunity to vent. Warm fuzzies to all.
