I don't know how to say this. But hepatitis c saved my life because while being teated for the hep c the doctors discovered a mass in my chest. Thymus Cancer stage three. I had to stop the interferon and have surgery and I am on chemo. This is tough for me...to talk about. My girl friend go and I togethor to the chemo ward and that is where heroes go..like here. I met an 8 year old boy named Shea with Luekemia and he loved the dodgers. but since the dodgers were not playing the world Series he was game for the Red Sox. He knew the stats and the players. and everytime they scored he would cheer and run around the ward with nurses in tow.And one day he looked at me and said. "I'm going home. I want to play candy Land and go to Macdonalds." And he gave me that smile. And so it went, i'm making a mess of this computer. The Red Sox won and he was happy and ran around to the doctors offices telling everyone. And so it went. We came for my chemo and the ward was dead silent. The nurses were in tears..going about their duties and the doctors never left their offices. And we asked what happened and a nurse told me that Shea died the night after the Red Sox won.And I lost it. You see he went home to play Candy land and go to MacDonalds. He went to play with the other heroes and when I get there I hope I can play right field. And when he left to go home he took a piece of my heart with him.
