Hepatitis C Support Group
Hepatitis C is a blood-borne viral disease which can cause liver inflammation, fibrosis, cirrhosis and liver cancer. The hepatitis C virus (HCV) is spread by blood-to-blood contact with an infected person's blood. Many people with HCV infection have no symptoms and are unaware of the need to seek treatment. Hepatitis C infects an estimated 150-200 million people worldwide.

HEPCinRVA
There is very little being said about HEPC in the media or in publications.
If any of you who feel comfortable in doing so could write, email, call, etc. magazines, news shows, talk shows, newspapers, websites, etc. and let them know about 'the silent killer' then we will have progress. There is strength in numbers and the more voices heard, the more likely we will get action on getting people tested, having people avoid getting HEPC, getting more funds for tx and research, etc.
I do know 'coming out' can cause problems in many ways. But the more of us who 'come out' and speak up, the less problems there will be.
But even a pseudonymous message on some websites is better than nothing.
Act now! The life you save may be your own or someone you love!
Thanks for listening.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

ya know, something corny like that teehee teehee
my entry for a bumper sticker: Been tested for hep c?
How about "GOT HEP C"?
Or "Hepatitis will Unite Us".
I'm just kidding. Your bumper sticker idea sounds better. There are plenty of good songs out there that might fit the cause.

We were so close there was no room
We bled inside each other's wounds
We all had caught the same disease
And we all sang the songs of peace

Lay Down (Candles in the Rain)
Melanie
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
We were so close there was no room
We bled inside each other's wounds
We all had caught the same disease
And we all sang the songs of peace
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
So raise candles high 'cause if you don't
We could stay black against the night
Oh raise them higher again
And if you do we could stay dry against the rain
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
We were so close there was no room
We bled inside each other's wounds
We all had caught the same disease
And we all sang the songs of peace
Some came to sing, some came to pray
Some came to keep the dark away
So raise candles high 'cause if you don't
We could stay black against the sky
Oh oh raise them higher again
And if you do we could stay dry against the rain
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown
Lay down lay down lay it all down
Let your white birds smile
At the ones who stand and frown.....

I don't remember Willie in it but there were other bogus moments.
But let's not go there, LOL, I have to remain "neutral". (Because of my job)
Since there are a lot of uninsured people with HCV, would Universal Health Care be off topic? I certainly do not want to get in trouble here.
One in a thousand get this killer disease,
Its sneaky and sly, cos obliviously,
It silently works behind the scenes,
So get tested today, before its too late,
You dont want Hep C on your plate!
