my child has been sick on and off for several months. the sickness always consists of fatigue, back ache, head ache, and just generally feeling like crap. i take him to doc and they say nothings wrong with him. so here we go again, but this time along with the same symptoms are these new ones, mild fever, loss of appitite, weight loss, neck ache, swollen lymphnodes in neck, armpits, and groin, but not tender. this goes on for 3 weeks, all the tests are negitive. such as mono, lyme disease, tick fevers, cat scratch fever. he has been on zithromax, doxycyclene, augmention, still no change. new doc says his liver, and spleen is enlarged and tender, and he has elevated liver enzymes, and bilirubine in his urine. now what? a new test just reviled that he tested positive for hepatitis c. how, hes 16, doesnt use drugs and hasnt had multiple sex partners, or a blood transfusion. im terrified! my bro just died of this in feb. he was 38. now there saying my 16 yo has it too? can this really be happening? oh, he also has a severe soar throat and ear pain, without an infection. does any of this make sence to anyone?
