Being HBV positive I thought it would be beneficial to do a liver/gallbladder cleanse once in a while. I was told by several people about a very popular one by Dr. Hulda Clark where after a brief fasting period a mixture of olive oil and grapefruit juice is consumed which causes the gallbladder to contract and expel possible stones. The stones mostly consist of cholesterol and bile salt. Removing the stones clear the bile duct and the liver from building up bile and prevent possible inflammation. I was very exited that I had passed actual stones. However, after reading on the internet I came across a study which claimed that the so called stones aren't cholesterol from the gallbladder but rather clumps of olive oil which was consumed to initiate the flush. Does anyone have more precise information about the benefits of this alternative treatment and if there is any truth to it. Thank you for your inputs. Roger
