Hello everyone out there, my husband has been suffering for 6 years now from hemmroids, internal, thrombosed, and external, anal fissure, and now anal stenosis. I will give you a idea what he went through and if any one could be of any assitance, we would greatly appreciate it. He started noticing what he thought was external hemmroids in 2001, he didn't do anything for a few months about it because he thought they would go away. Then he went to a doctor that persciriped him some type of cream, but it didn't work, so he went to another doctor, and he told him that he had internal hemmroids, and that he would remove them with rubberband ligation, which he said it would not hurt. So he went 3 different times and had them removed one at a time, and they hurt like heck he said. So after that, he still noticed something external, so he went to another doctor, and he told him he had anal stenosis and that he should have the mucsle cut instead of the hemmroid removed, but he was scared to death of that procedure with cutting the mucsle, and he thought that the external hemmroid procedure would feel like the internal one, which hurt, but he could deal with it. Well, he had the external hemmroid removed, and they only gave him a perscription for advil codine, and he said that it did absolutly nothing, he was in so much pain, he couldn't sleep at night, he said it felt like someone was stabbing him in the rectum with a knife, and when he had to go to the bathroom, he had to put papers down, and lay down on his back, then he couldn't even walk when he was done, he had to crawl to the bathtub, and try to relax, which didn't do much, and then he went to another hospital, because he thought it was infected since it was hurting so bad, and they perscribed percecet, which didn't even help him either, he even doubled them up., so he went to antoher doctor, and they perscribed oxycodone, and he said by then, he started to feel some better, which was about a week later, not severe pain anymore, so he didn't even take all the pills. I wanted to know if anyone else has gone through these things, what meds you were persribed and did they work for the pain? So anyways, now he felt some better after the pain finally stopped, but a few months later, he started to feel hemmroids and pain again in his rectum. So he went to get infared heat treatment for his hemmroids, and it seemed to help him, but after about a year they came back, and he went to other doctors, and they said about surgeries, and he didn't want to go through anymore, so he dealed with them. Then he started to feel some better, except he had a fissure, which I forgot to mention that before, he got that right after he had the internal hemmroids removed with the rubber bands, he thinks that doctor caused that with sticking that big thing up there to remve the hemmorids. So anyways, he was starting to feel better other than the fissure which would flare up about once every two weeks for a few days, then go away, and then it started only occurig once a month, which he could deal with very well, and no hemmroids that he noticed, so for 8 months he felt decent, and then all of a sudden this year in august, he started feeling pressure in his rectum, like his rectum was pushing out, and then it started aching, throbbing, and swelling, plus the fissure pain on topof it all. He took it easy for 2 weeks, and still nothing let up, and one day he got this sharp shooting pain like someone had kicked him real hard right in the rectum, and it didn't let up for 4 hours, so after that he went to the doctor, and she told him that he has anal stenosis (which he had seen her before for the infared treatments, and she never said he had anal stenosis, but the other doctor did), so he was confused, and she gave him this nefidime ointment for his fissure to relive it, and it seemed to have worked, so if anyone is suffering from a fissure, it is a nonsurgical way to relive a fissure, and sometimes it even heals them, I will give you the correct spelling if you are interested, and the percent so you can ask your doctor. Well, he started feeling better as far as the fissure, but then he went back to see her because he was still having the other pains, and she told him the only thing that will help him is a lateral spchinteonlmy, where they cut the spchinter muslce, and she said that supposidly this doctor has had a 95% success rate and if they cut too much, she said that it can be reversed, we don't know wheather to believe that or not, and we were trying to find an opionion on that, and also what the pain level would be for that operation, he just doesn't want to go through anymore pain. Please help if you can. Thanlk you

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
Has anyone tried these supplements? Do they give MGers more quality of life by improving memory and overall well being? Thanks!Barbel
