the dr thinks my husband has hemachromatosis but i am not sure how she or if she plans to confirm that. his blood tests show high ferritin levels (645). she just did a hereditary hemachromatosis test and it said heterozgous fot the C282Y mutation. does this mean he has hemachromatosis and if so what is the next step? he has had an abnormal liver funtion test so they are doing an ultrasound of the liver and maybe a biopsy. does this sound normal? he is only 35.
