Maslow's theory is that sex, much like food and water, is a need.....a Physiological Need...
"1. The physiological needs. These include the needs we have for oxygen, water, protein, salt, sugar, calcium, and other minerals and vitamins. They also include the need to maintain a pH balance (getting too acidic or base will kill you) and temperature (98.6 or near to it). Also, theres the needs to be active, to rest, to sleep, to get rid of wastes (CO2, sweat, urine, and feces), to avoid pain, and to have sex. Quite a collection!"

While Maslow concludes people won't die without it, sex makes the list as one of the basic human NEEDS. Anyone else agree with this theory..?

My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Or as a male friend once put it to me: "You're middle class, you'd rather go without than have second best."
Would the lack of sex in your life have an adverse mental impact... Could it cause depression? Could the lack of physical connection lead one to be suicidal..?
Not sure on any of these, but I can tell you that after two days without a release, I'm like a friggin' caged animal.. I can't imagine what it would be like over a prolonged period of time...

the deep stare into the eyes of another while makeing love can lead to such an emotional high, not to mention the fact that you can leave them utterly mentally and physically spent. thats where the bliss comes in and allows you to reach a level of intimacy that strengthens the bond you have.
