I'd like to discuss what constitutes healthy workplace relationships.
Has anyone else here experienced unhappy experiences in the workplace? I have had more than my share of bad workplace environment.
How do you handle workplace politics?
I'm about to re-enter the job world after a 6 month break. I have decided that i'll work on my terms. By that, I mean that I will be interviewing any company as much as they will be interviewing me.
Have you had this experience?
I'd appreciate feedback on creating healthy workplace environments (which is pretty much all about healthy relationships, don't you think?)

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
you gotta learn to grim and bare it at times in the work force..
what if you are unable to reasonably discuss things honestly with your boss or supervislor? How healthy is that?
Speaking generally, for where I live, in the Chicagoland area, you'd better just suck it up, if you want to have anything even approaching job security!!
The last place I worked, there were hundreds of employees -- between 300 and 400, in a retail environment.
Obviously, I didn't come in contact with all of them all the time.
But I must say that I don't know of anyone there who got along swimmingly with everyone else.
The more flexible you can be, the better off you will fare.
You WILL almost assuredly run into jerks. The less personally you can take any unpleasantness which may arise, the better off you'll be.
It's sad to say, but if you need to keep the job, be prepared to suck it up, if nothing else works.
any experiences with that?
