Honesty ?
...
Too deep to comprehend for me, I am hurting !
Sorry, honesty is a two-way thing... no ?
.
And then there is desire. That always helps.
Passion, togetherness, happiness, etc...
I know, I guess I'm not in the best of moods.
:-)

"We" ?
Are you alone ?
...
I have been with so many jerks that if a good guy comes around, I don't know how to treat him. Any ideas?

Handle with Care ?

Just think of all the things you DIDN'T like in the last one!! And imagine how you would like any and all future ones to be!!!
Mutual respect is a biggie, for me. And from that follows honesty and decency. Trustworthiness.
I think one of the things that trips a lot of people up is overlooking what can, at the beginning of a relationsip, appear to be a small flaw, easy to excuse and/or overlook. But if one keeps that up, little by little more crap creeps in until suddenly you find yourself in a relationship that is filled with things that you find unacceptable.
Be what you hope to find in the other person, and accept nothing less from them, in return.
Take stock often; pay attention to how any relationship you are in makes you feel! If there is something about it that you don't like, examine that. Isolate and identify any problem areas, and deal with them immediately.
The more time you invest in a relationship, the harder it is to end it, even when doing so is the right thing.
In a healthy relationship, you should feel happy, safe, at ease, and relaxed.
And so should your partner!!!
