I have been carting this recipe around in my day planner for ages to try, but have not yet. However, the article says it tastes like "pie in a glass".....yum!
*Blend half a cup of canned pumpkin, 1/2 cup vanilla soy milk, 1/2 cup crushed ice, 1 tbsp honey and 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice. Pour and drink!!
This only has 162 cals, 2 grams of fat and has 4 grams of fiber. And pumpkin is chalk full of vitamins!!
I suggest adding the following things to ANY smoothie to beef up it's nutritional value without fogging the taste too much.
Protein Powder (many flavors & options, from whey to soy to hemp, etc)
Flax Seed (very high in fiber and omega 3)
