Does anyone have any recommendations of foods/drinks.....ANYTHING that will help to ward a cold off or at least minimize the symptoms? I feel one coming on and we're supposed to go away this weekend - I would really like to nip it in the bud if possible. Has anyone ever tried that Cold FX or whatever it's called? Also, does echinachea really help in a case like this???
Trust me, I know there is no cure for the common cold, but ANYTHING that at least helps would be appreciated.

Hope you feel better soon!
I take 1 pill in the morning or afternoon, apart from my normal multivitamin ( I take them 12 hours apart if possible ), drink lots of water, fresh pineapple juice, and hot teas ( ginger is good for colds ) and eat a lot of foods with a lot of garlic in them. ( garlic has anti viral, anti bacterial properties when crushed or chewed. You can also take it in enteric coated tablet form, about 300mg a day ).
