I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Please cite your sources (reliable references)about non-citizen access to Medicaid. But I'm not sure what that has to do w/ single payer.
I appreciate your rant and I'm sorry you are not adequately compensated but it's just not helpful to expanding education of problems the healthcare system. Please list different subjects under new topics and post truthful statements. Thank you.
Dear Mr. President:
We, the undersigned, protest the bill that the Senate voted upon
recently which would allow illegal aliens to access our Social Security. We
demand that you and all Congressional representatives require citizenship as
a prerequisite for social services in the United States. This is a portion of the petition. Here was my response.
I did not sign this petition for the following reasons. This is my opinion and I believe everyone is entitled to theirs. I don't say I approve of illegal immigrants getting benefits I'm just putting out some reality checks.
1. It is my opinion this is propaganda meant to get us to hate other suffering human beings propagated by hateful people, corporations and the wicked right. It is what they do they get us fighting amongst each other so that we take our eyes off the real issues.
2. Sixty percent of US corporations do not pay their fair share of taxes. If this occurred during and after WWII our society would have considered them treasonous.
3. Haliburton and other corporations involved in war profiteering have not accounted for billions of dollars. Do you know how many SS recipients that for which that would pay?
4. We should be outraged at the way we are being treated but instead they have us chasing our tails on insignificant amounts of money. How many of you have been poisoned and dont even know it? How many of us are trying to get benefits but cant? Im not sure the $$ involved in illegal immigrants getting benefits but I can assure you it is insignificant compared to how corporations are legally stealing our tax dollars.
5. Did you know that the benefits from the Iraq war if there are any are going to go to the oil companies? In other words we as tax payers are footing the bill in Iraq (in the trillions) but the oil companies will reap the benefits in the form of free oil from Iraq and then we will pay again for high oil prices at the pump.
6. I have to laugh when I hear someone going off about a single mother getting welfare benefits because her husband was killed in Iraq or just a single mother getting benefits and then those same people arent even outraged at the corporate welfare that is build into our tax code and outright billions given to these poor rich executives so that they can retire like Exxons Lee Raymond with a package worth $400M. This same Exxon Mobil, under Lee Raymond, has paid $300,000 in damages to Alaskan citizens affected by the Exxon Valdez oil spill. Exxon is currently appealing a $4 billion punitive damages court ordered payment to Alaskan fishermen. WHY ARE WE NOT OUTRAGED ABOUT THIS?
I agree with Cares68 a single payer system is something we should look at seriously. As a former federal auditor with the DHHS it is well known that a full 60% of our health care cost is administration.
