I was an law enforcement officer, injured in the line of duty and, as a result, I now have a seizure disorder. My career is now over, my ability to drive is history, and my Master's degree isn't worth the paper it is printed on. I receive a SMALL disability check every month and, right now I am COBRAed through my previous employer which takes 3/4 of my disability check to pay. I've checked with other companies and have been told that I am uninsurable.
WHAT ABOUT PEOPLE LIKE ME? What do I do when my COBRA runs out? I will need health care the rest of my life but there's not alot of opportunity out there for me. If I can find a full time position, with benefits, that will hire me, I have to be able to get to work (no decent bus system in my town) and then, I will have to give up the small disability that I do get. And lets face it, odds are not so great that I will be able to sustain full-time employment for long. What would I do then, once I have given up my disability?
What options are out there for ppl like me?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You are probably able to hold a job for a longer time than I. Weigh that against
