I recently had a four day flare-up of pain. I have to eat soft food cannot chew or this pain come on in a fierce way, since I have bone on nerve.
I lso have hashimoto's and when the pain comes on the thyroid gets very low and I get cold feet and severe depression, which I don't usually have. I come from a disconnected family, so there is no family support and of course when you are depressed all the problems are right in your face.
Well anyway today is first day I am not feeling depressed, and the pain has subsided. I tend to isolate anyway, even when I am out of pain I have such a hard time dealing with not being able to chew anymore, and it doesn't take much to set it off, then I take viccodin and Advil but it doesn't work right away. I had gone 3 months without a flare-up then I tend to start taking chances, get away with it, but not for long then comes the severe pain and low thyroid. Does anyone know if you can take extra thyroid medication during your pain to take away the low thyroid? after that when the pain stops the thyroid level comes back up to normal, I guess its the stress of the pain...
If anyone would like to communicate by telephone, please let me know since I am not a very good writer.
