I'm wondering how many others might have water softener units at their homes. It would be interesting to see whether or not the amounts of iodine in the water are increased as a result.I have no scientific knowledge of this, maybe someone else would know. If you have a water softener, do you also have a reverse osmosis unit? I know it sounds a little silly to ask, but I'm still trying to pinpoint how I landed up with this disease, what might aggravate it, and any additional changes that might help improve my chances of remission.

I have my maxed amount of epidural shots of my cervical DDD....(and no one cares about my lumbar DDD)..... I've done physical therapy, muscle relaxers, Amitriptyline, Nortryptiline, desipramine.....narcotics... So I decided to go to a spine specialist and they have me on Gabapentin. Its been two weeks and it did nothing for my lumbar ever... but it did seem to help my cervical and arm/hand pain...
