Here are my labs.. just looking for some insight, ;)

TSH not traceable
FT3 6.81 normal is 1.8-4.2
FT4 2.37 normal is .8-1.7
02/22/11
TSH .01 normal is .27-4.2
FT3 2.92 normail is 1.8-4.2
FT4 .94 normal is .8-1.7
03/15/11
TSH 3.29 normal is .27-4.2
FT3 3.96 normal is 1.8-4.2
FT4 .91 normal is .8-1.7
I am on 500mcg B12 daily and 5 mg Methimazole.
My question is... why do I feel like I'm on a roller coaster ride? One day, all is well and the next day the sky is falling? I keep having these terrible muscle aches too. Upper back, mainly. I was feeling better when I first started the meth than I do now... just wondering what's going on!?

i have constant fatigue and can barely get out of bed. Taking NP thyroid and Dr recently added Cytomel. Since I started Cytomel my appetite has increased, gained weight and feel so incredibly angry and argumentative. It has not helped with weight loss and energy as the Dr was hoping. My hair has also become very dry and I feel as if I'm experiencing premature aging. I feel and look 80...

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
The reason for the roller coaster effect is that your FT3 is getting too high trying to compensate for the low FT4 level. It's also why the TSH (even though we do not dose by it) is also climbing up too high.
It looks like dose reduction of 3.75 mg or 2.5 mg would be ideal to get your Free Ts to aim for the mid ranges of normal.

P.S. My FT3 had been low and I've been having bad muscular aches and cramps around my hips and upper thighs mostly. I know what you are going through and it's not fun...!
I have used the Atenolol in the past for the first few days for any transient symptoms.

P.S. Dist with your doctor if you need to?
So... cutting to 2.5 and using my atenolol through the transition would work, ay?
