I'll be looking into it and finding yet another Endo.
It is allowing the patient to be on ATDS to block the thyroid and yet also replace with Thyroxin so as not to go Hypo.
Its basically a maintanance dose once a suitable level has been reached and its also a goal to aim for remission.
If your Endo has you on both then dont complain as many people fight for years to go on B & R.
As I said...it stops HypeR by ATDS and stops HypO by replace.
It has been around worldwide for years and is finally being recognised as one way to try and achieve remission from Graves.
There have been quite a few successful cases from this practise but it also has to be monitored carefully by your Doctor and usually this treatment requires at least 2 years dedication by both the Doctor and the patient.
Hope that clears that up.
