Has anyone thought that surgery is better than the RAI? I spoke with an ENT today & he said that he likes to do the surgery b/c there is a chance that your thyroid will start to function normally if they take out the right amount. Also, I have not had the TSI testing done. My family practice doctor wouldn't do it & neither would the ENT. I have an appointment with an endo in 2 weeks. I will ask him to do the test. But, I was tested for the thyroid antithyroglobulin & it is normal. I also had the uptake & my thyroid looked normal. Is there a chance that I don't have Graves & just a hyperthyroid? Thanks for any help you can give. This is all so frustrating.
