I have had this problem and have been in tears over it .
My Dermotologist told me to use Mens Rogaine foam. It doesnt help it grow back faster but it will stop it frm falling out . It did work! I also dont wash my hair as much. When I do wash my hair I use Nioxin Shamp Cond An scalp treatment (which is ok to use when your using Rogaine) You can but this at a beauty supply like Harmons. They do have a websit Nioxin.com (ppl that have lost hair from medical problems had suggested this to me its also vry good)
Also for Vitmins Biotin is vry good for your hair (ask ur doc0 Ive also been looking into Evening Primrose Oil (its a herb I go to my endo 2morrow and Im going to ask if I can take this) It was in the book living Well with Graves also helps subside the hair loss
I Hope this helps u
