I have been searching for a bord like this and finally I find it. hehe.....
ok seriouse now hehe..
I was told I had hyperthyroid about a year ago. I saw my Endo he looked, touch and talked and voila, I have Greaves, and then he took some blood. First dose was 3 a day twice a day of PTU, then I stopped taking them (no money) and I felt great for awhile about 3 month. Then every thing crashed. I started taking the pills at the dose I was on before Yah, Yah, I know, I should have gone to the DR first. Trust me; I kick my self everyday for it: P
So now I am on 2 a day twice a day. Still feeling tired, week, lazy, drugged, no concentration, not sleeping well, Palpitations, mood swings, now sex drive (BTW driving my husband crazy) when I do get to sleep I have a really hard time waking up. It is hard since I am the bread winner in the family right now. My husband has been great through it all. He cooks, clean, takes care of our 2 year old and shops etc.. I feel guilty that I dont do more around the house.
I just saw a new Endo this week and she is thinking of switching me to hmm the other drug it starts with an "M" but I have to wait for the blood result to come back.
She also wants me to consider doing the radiation as well. I have read this page and other things and talk to a friend that has done it as well. What I get is that you basically are dealing with the same symptoms with or with out the treatment but you dont have the possible harmful pills that can effect other area's of your body with the treatment. Please correct me if I am wrong?
I dont see any other advantage. I think that would be enough of one for me anyways.
I guess this is enough to chew on for a first time entry. Any question and comments please I look forward to hearing them all dont be shy I dont bite ?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
